Although broadband offers you the opportunity to surf the internet at lightning speeds, most of the time you connection sits there and does absolutely nothing. This is why BT impose a contention ratio on broadband connections (50:1 on "Home Connections" and 20:1 on "Business Connections"). By opting for a shared broadband connection shared by up to 20 others, you can achieve a better contention ratio than a standard 50:1 or 20:1 contention at a much lower cost. The flexibility of a wireless shared broadband connection also enables us to provide a lower bandwidth connection, for occasional lower internet use, at a reduced price.
